I got the last Ride UK a few weeks back, and almost immediately, I skipped over the magazine's content to gaze in wonderment at the Subrosa ad on the back cover, featuring Skeleton crew rider Greg Smee, a guitar, a couch and a goat. I don't know why I thought it was so cool, but I did. I mean, for as long as I can remember (and my closest friends can attest to this) I've been saying that there just aren't enough goats in BMX. Goats are cool, and sometimes they even eat cigarette butts. Not only that, goats make great companions for horses.
I know Corey Martinez is sometimes referred to as "Goatinez," but I mean real live goats. The kind that will hang out on a leather couch with you in front of a tattered old air conditioner and just commiserate for the sake of it. Heck, if it were up to me, the entire action sports world would have more domesticated farm animals in it.
Subrosa, Ryan Sher, Greg Smee, Ronnie B., thank you. This is my favorite ad of the year so far. By far.
