The U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame inducts their class of 2008 on April 4. So what?
Reported in the Utah Skier Online: The U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame is located in Ishpeming, MI and is dedicated to providing respected, lasting and national recognition to those who have achieved nationally or internationally as competitors or contributors to skiing and snowboarding in the United States.
But, there are no snowboarders in this year's class. There was no "Snowboard" in the Hall of Fame's name until 2007. The only snowboarders ever inducted are Jake and Donna Carpenter. The ceremony is at Deer Valley, one of the last 3 no-snowboarding hold outs.
